On Tuesday, February 28, the House Judiciary Committee will meet to mark up H.R. 1215, the Protecting Access to Care Act, placing reasonable limits on non-economic damages, curbing medical lawsuit abuse, and increasing access to care. We know that personal injury lawyers and their powerful political allies are mobilizing their resources and putting passage of this bill in jeopardy. If your Member sits on the Judiciary Committee, we ask that you contact him or her immediately and express the importance of this critical legislation.
Contact your Member today and ask that they support the Protecting Access to Care Act during Tuesday’s markup in order to make meaningful reforms that will lower costs, preserve patient access to care, and restore fairness to our medical liability system.
